  stil no 2016 yearbook on jw.org, due to my fade i forgot the normal publishing date.

  do you remember when the yearbook was released?

  i'm just curious about the 2015 publisher data.

  Craziest Yearbook experience EVER brother silences talking snake????

  yearbook 1967 p.105 chad africa- "..a large crowd were following a man with a talking serpent.

  the serpent gave greetings and spoke in foriegn tongues.

  a brother went to the house and as soon as he entered the serpent went silent.

  Youths planning for the future leaflet

  does anyone remember around the tear 2000, maybe just before or after, there was a leaflet released at the summer convention aimed at teenagers called something like, "planning for a worthwhile future"?

  basically it argued that you shouldn't go to college or university and put your trust in "the world".

  instead you should trust in jehovah, pioneer and reach out for bethel or missionary service.

  So here's the deal. When you are used in a photograph or video, they keep tabs on you. If you're DF'ed, DA'd, or otherwise not in good standing, they find out. When they do a re-print of that particular publication or update a particular video, they take out that person and use someone else.

  Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book

  congregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.

  i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.

  the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

  Oub: I was at Bethel during that time frame. Basically, black brothers could shave their head.

  White brothers could not do it unless they were already balding.

  I have no idea if that's changed at all.

  so today i did it.

  i cut my dish network programming to basic....$20 a month ty very much.

  instead i have $60 streaming device that gives me everything i need.

  or, just sit back and watch the show and the trick affects if you want.. or like the uk guardian you could see the movie in terms of dysfunction (personal and family).. quote: the original movies were always based on the most extraordinary nexus of personal and family dysfunction: a motor of guilt, shame and conflict.

  Star Wars is quite literally children's entertainment. It's all just stuff cribbed from the old Flash Gordon serials mixed with a dash of Kurosawa (and a hint of John Ford). Don't think too deeply about it.

  Can an inactive family member hold back a MS appointment?

  a friend asked me if a man can be appointed a ms if he has an inactive (inactive for 15-20 years) baptized adult child living in his home.

  the child lives by the rules and doesn't do anything wrong (jw-wise), as i am told.

  i know the child (adult) and is a good kid as far as i know.

  If a brother has a DFed wife, that won't stop an appointment because it's your wife. You can't divorce her or otherwise kick her out.

  It's been heavily implied in the WT that if you have adult children living at home they better be baptized and in good standing, otherwise they should be kicked out.
